- Local Radio Telemetry: Positional coordinates (GNSS WGS-84 format) broadcast over peer-to-peer sub-GHz mesh networks stay stored locally on your device or team mesh nodes and are never sent to corporate servers unless an active satellite SOS is manually triggered.
- Technical Web Logs: Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, and server request timestamps collected automatically for network defense and anti-DDoS mitigation.

When an emergency SOS distress switch is physically toggled on an Opentrailbeacon unit, telemetry data (including current GNSS latitude/longitude, altitude, battery percentage, and unit serial number) is transmitted via satellite relay.
This emergency payload is delivered strictly to official Search & Rescue (SAR) dispatch centers, maritime rescue coordination centers, or local civil protection authorities solely to perform life-saving emergency operations.
